A rather impressive artillery system on a 6 x 6 chassis. It is built by the Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation. The DRDO 214mm can fire all 12 rockets with 100 kg warhead in less than 40 seconds and can fire a variety of rockets such as; anti-tank bomblets, anti-personnel.

First seen in public in 1997 the Raad-2 has also been known as the Thunder 2 self-propelled artillery system. It has a 155mm gun/howitzer which a range of 24,000 meters. It is built on locally produced equipment including the wheels from the T-72 Russian main battle tank. The Raad-2 is a much-improved variant of the Raad-1.
