The 155mm GCT, Grande Cadence de Tir, is a French developed self-propelled gun based on the chassis of the successful AMX-30 tank. Due to the removal of the tank turret and the instalment of the 155mm howitzer the artillery system is 2 tons lighter than the tank. It is highly mobile and can be deployed in all theatres.

It has a range of 24,000 meters with standard ammunition, but with special ammunition this can be increased to 32,000. A large crew of eight is needed to fire this 10 ton heavy gun.
