The TAM, Tanque Argentino Mediano , was initiated by the Argentine and the West German factory Henschel Wehrtechnik. It was build to meet the requirement of the armed forces of Argentina . The first prototype was built in 1976 whereas production was moved to Argentina at the Fabrica Militar de Rio Tercero. The Argentine armoured forces uses the TAM with good results.
Variants: TAM TH301 West German design completed in 1978 had better fire-control system and a new power pack. |

The SK 105 nicknamed Kurassier was designed in 1970, although designated a light tank it was developed to fit the Austrian army's requirement for an independent anti-tank weapon to operate in difficult terrain. Although light it can withstand armour-piercing 20mm rounds, an upgrade package adds armour to the front and turret and offers protection up to 35mm.
Variants: SK 105/A1 is an upgrade to the SK 105 with several modifications. |
